We're thankful for our Military!

We all have friends and family who have served or are serving in the military.  Show your support by wearing a military inspired outfit for the Holidays!

The Look: Military Edgy

While you could just put on something with a camouflage pattern, not all of us want to go that casual.  We know pictures are going to be taken and in two or three years we don't want to look back and think, "I wore THAT!"  Leave the uniforms to the men and women serving.  They have earned the right to exclusivity.  So what can you do to pull this off? Well, the jacket is the first thing.  Many jackets have a military cut to them.  Double breasted with dome buttons, mandarin collars, gold braids, red stripes and even sometimes insignia bars decorate green and navy jackets.  High heeled boots in an army green can give you that edgy look.  A cute skirt, dress or even skinny jeans can be the perfect backdrop.  Military can cover many decades and many uniforms.  Some may even have bone bars decorating them commemorating our military and the Native American influence in the Old West. 

So, grab a cute bottom, a military inspired jacket, boots or heels in military green or navy and hold your head high.  You're supporting the troops.  If you want to go with camo, look for a jacket styled like a jean jacket and pair it with some wide-leg jeans and olive green heels.  The idea is to let the military influence give you the edginess while the cuts and materials keep you trendy.
