Clowning Around

"A gypsy fire is on the hearth, Sign of the carnival of mirth; Through the dun fields and from the glade, Flash merry folk in masquerade, For this is Hallowe'en!" ~Author Unknown

For one night out of the year we all get to dress up and be something we are not! Some of us go scary, some of us innocent and sweet, some of us are silly and some of us make a statement. Which ever costume you chose to robe yourself in learn this lesson about fashion: Change is good.

Do you ever feel in the rut? Like you need something different? A new face, look, feel? A new you?
If you are ready to give up the ghost on the look you have been sporting than take a hint from Halloween and go with something crazy and different. Watch the costumes you seem to be drawn to and see if you can incorporate it into your look:
Scary: Add some rocker, punk or gothic accents to your look with studs, skulls and lace. Distressed jeans can sport this look, boots and leather. Do it tastefully with just a few accent pieces.
Silly: Add some whimsy to your look! Leaves, flowers, butterflies and birds can make a blah look more fun. Don't take fashion too seriously! Try mixing patterns and colors in unexpected way and a pop of red or yellow adds a smile to any day!
Sexy: Maybe it is time to look for things which embrace your curves instead of hide them. Look for belts to set off your waist, jeggings to show off your legs and v-necks to elongate your neck. Be tasteful and leave the barmaid look at home but don't be afraid to be a woman.
