| Abby, on the right, and Anita, on the left! We love to dress up for Halloween! |
I know not everyone is a big celebrator, or even agrees with celebrating Halloween. I'm not getting into that, not now, or ever. You know what you believe and why. It's still a free country so please stand strong in those beliefs. I enjoy dressing up. I enjoy being creative and showcasing that creativity. I enjoy holidays. I enjoy a time to be different, look at life differently, and celebrate! In my mind Halloween is the doorway to the holiday season. It is the start of my favorite time of the year. The cold weather, the leaves blowing, pumpkins and cute kids looking for candy. Next is Thanksgiving. A wonderful time to be grateful for all that we are blessed with in this nation. Then, my favorite, Christmas!!! Don't even get me started! After that we round things up with New Year's.
Each of these special days has traditions wrapped up in them. On New Year’s my whole family gets together and eats breakfast the whole day. On Thanksgiving I always make sweet potato casserole and I make a good one, if I do say so myself. For Halloween, we ladies here at Femme have a long standing tradition of dressing up. There are no real rules to this and no winner of any competition. We just do it for the fun of it.
So you might want to stop in today if for no other reason than to look at our costumes!
Of course...you might want to shop to!
Please share your costumes on our FB page!
Have a safe and happy Halloween!
"This is Halloween, everybody make a scene
Trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright
It's our town, everybody scream
In this town of Halloween."
