Coffee Shop Report

Music, coffee and a great pair of SteamPunk boots.
Abby here with a random collection of thoughts!
As I thought about what I wanted to talk about today, several thoughts presented themselves.  I decided to talk about all of them!
1) Red mug:  The holiday's are on the way!  Now don't panic!  We have two months before Christmas.  But don't think you have plenty of time!  If you will start thinking about it now you can make a plan and de-stress your Christmas.  Consignment may  but if you have a friend who enjoys something funky think about us.  You can also get a gift card for a friend who loves the thrill of Consignment Shopping!  Put us on your list for Christmas Shopping!
2)Boots:  These are my favorite boots.  They have a great SteamPunk flare. If you don't know what that is keep an eye out this weekend.  Friday's and Saturday's post will both be about SteamPunk.  Here's the kicker with these boots...they are two sizes too big for me.  But!  Three pairs of socks later and I'm on the go!  If you really love something you can make it work!!
3) Music:  My mom calls it my alter-ego, but a little known fact about me is my music taste.  My first love in music is heavy metal.  Yes...Metallica, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Rammstien and such.  I love the loud, throbbing drums, the passion, the electric guitars.  I just love it.  My sister has a little bit more well rounded taste in music and she tries to be a good influence on me.  She introduced me to two bands who I now love:  Florance and the Machine, and Mumford and Sons. Florance has a great "gospel tone" to her music.  It's so passionate and filled with great themes.  Her newest album seems to center around the ocean which is great.  She incorporates a sense of mythology into her songs.  I love it!
Mumford and Sons have a folky sound.  Their lyrics are deep and thought provoking.  There sound is engaging and has an old world vibe to it.  I just love them.  There is anger in their songs, but also love and grace!  My favorite line by them is "and if strife strikes at your sleep, remember spring swaps snow for leaves."  Amazing!

So...now that you've gotten just a bit of insight into what goes on in my brain feel free to share your favorite bands with us!  What kind of music speaks to your soul?  How are you doing on the Christmas prep stuff?  Do you have a friend you would shop consignment for?  How about the boots?  Do you have a boot story!
Comment below and share yourself with us!
