| The first cool days have driven me into a Pumpkin Overdose! |
Did you feel it last week? The first cool nip in the air? The rain? A chance to take a deep breath of air and not die from the heat? This first little chance at fall does two things for me.
First, it makes me seriously look at my closet and start thinking about what I want out of my fall wardrobe. This year it seems to be skirts and jackets. These are two things I have not incorporated into my look in about five or six years. I think you might see me in skirts quiet a bit. They tend to do better for me than dresses. I'm not the same size top and bottom and so finding a proper fit with a dress can be a huge challenge. Skirts let me play with color, pattern, and texture more than a dress does. If you know me, I'm all over that!
Second, I'm really stocking upon the pumpkin. In fact, I can't seem to get enough of it this year. Pumpkin Spice lattes, pumpkin scones, pumpkin muffins. Bring on this loved autumn flavor and bring on this great color. I don't think I'll be dressing up for Halloween this year, but I'm already looking for that perfect black and orange outfit to wear on the 31st!!!
