The Coffee Shop Report

A new week and a new thought from me, Abby!
Have you ever wanted an outfit you could just throw on and go, but still look amazing?  Well, let me present "French Dressing".  French dressing is the everyday uniform of many women in France.  It is a quick and simple way to dress when you don't know what to wear, or you need to be cute and casual.
The basic idea is a t-shirt, jeans, flats, simple jewelry and a designer bag.  Simple, clean and super uber chic.
Let's talk about each thing.
T-shirt: Start with white, it's the easiest thing to pair with other colors.  Branch out into gray and black if you want to change it up.  In the winter, go with an over-sized sweater.  The t-shirt should fit through the shoulders and bust, and just skim the waist and stomach for a flattering fit.
Jeans:  Fit is of upmost important.  No muffin-topping.  Try on lots of jeans until you find the right pair.  Skinny jeans are best with this look, but feel free to try out flared and boot cut styles.
Flats:  Boots or just ballet.  Flats keep the look stress free.  It looks clean and not over done.
Jewelry:  This is a good time to show off your favorite charm on a necklace or your favorite diamond earrings.  Now, here in Texas if you want to make this a more Fort Worth Casual feel free to go crazy with your jewelry!  You know you want to!  Scarves can also count as jewelry with this look.
Designer Bag: The key to this outfit is the designer bag.  It doesn't matter who the bag is as long as it is amazing.  The designer bag adds just a hint of dressy seriousness to the look. It shows that when needed, you can dress up, and that you are a woman of excellent taste even when you're out schlepping! It makes the outfit go from boring to chic.  My personal favorites are the Louis Vuttion NeverFull and the Marc Jacobs bag with the twist open knobs.

So...with all this in mind, start hunting for each piece.  Take your time, collect several pairs of jeans and t-shirts you love. Keep your eyes on the handbags behind the counter to find your perfect French Dressing Designer bag!
