The Coffee Shop Report

Abby here, with my precious niece, Constance!

About two years ago, my older brother and his dear wife, who I adore, had their first child.  Constance came into the world the day before her daddy's birthday!  She was beautiful. Now you say, all children are beautiful to their family...true...but Constance is really, really beautiful.  She has amazing features provided by her Mom.  Constance is silly, giggles, and talks a lot.  But, the thing which amazes me the most is her love of being a mom since she could crawl.  The first thing she goes for in a room is the baby dolls.  She holds them, rocks them, and keeps them safe.  I love her tender little heart.  She also has a thing for any bracelet I wear!
Now, she is moving away.  My brother received a scholarship to a seminary in California.  I am very thankful for this opportunity for him, but I wish he wasn't taking my sister and my niece and nephew with him.
Sigh.
But, I don't get to decide what happens, so now they are off.
So...this post is dedicated to all the women out there with nieces and nephews they love.  Women who may or may not have children of their own, and so love these little ones like their own.  This post is dedicated to Jules, my first niece who loves jewelry, books and animals as much as I do. It is dedicated to Joshua who is Constance's little brother, also moving away, who just started smiling at me.  To Bruce, my Sunday buddy who just started walking, and to little Ellie, born last week...with dark hair like mine! To my twin nieces, Rachel and Lauren on my husbands side of the family who love to read, and play with their American Girl Dolls.  How I love you seven little guys and girls so much!  I'm excited to get to know you as you grow up.  I'm excited to take you shopping, talk and read together!  I love sharing my jewelry and purses with you and playing ball with the boys.
God has blessed me with so many precious little ones!
I hope you cherish each and every moment with the people you love, be it your man, your kids, grand kids or nieces and nephews.  Hold tight to those special girlfriends, your mom and dad, your brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, and grandparents.  These are the most important people in your life.
I love mine!
Thank you for letting me share my precious little ones with you!
I may be a little sad...but more than that I am blessed!
