Memorial Day - Military Inspired Looks

According to wikipedia.com, Memorial Day commemorates U.S. soldiers who died while in the military service. First enacted to honor Union and Confederate soldiers following the American Civil War, it was extended after World War I to honor Americans who have died in all wars. Memorial Day often marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day its end. So in remembrance of our fallen soldiers consider embracing military inspired looks.

By Sea– Pairing navy blue and white will do the trick. Try sailor style wide leg pants or nautical designed jewelry with anchors, star fish or shells.

Ground Cover – Camouflage!! It now comes in every color. Find a color and pattern that looks good on you and have fun. No need to go head to toe camo unless you are going into battle. Grab a top, trousers or fun accessory.

Dress Uniform – Military inspired jackets are the best way to go. They often have epaulets on the shoulders and/or a double row of ornate metal buttons. Some may have boning details like vintage Calvary uniforms or even red stripes. Jackets aren’t the only way to dress up a look military style. Cute top with epaulet shoulder detailing are all the rage.

Don’t have anything military inspired. No problem, stop by Femme. We have a range of options in different sizes.
