The Thrill of the Hunt

We may not shoot small animals or bring out the big guns , but woman love the thrill of a good hunt as much as any man. We may wear camouflage but it just might have flowers mixed in with the army green! And we might bring snacks and water but it is just to keep us going as we find lots of wonderful things. We might be gone for hours and we might start early but we are not just sitting around! No! We're sorting through items, trying them on, comparing them with the treasures already in our closets and getting a second opinion. We're checking quality, fit, color and style. We're walking around in shoes to see if they are comfortable and we're trying our wallets and make-up bags in new purses to check if they're practical. Beyond even that, we are remembering the men in our lives and the looks and colors they favor on us. We think about what other friends and family members might need. And we purchase little things for our special girlfriends. We find ways to incorporate others into our hunts even if they can't be with us. We think about our homes, jobs and families as we search. This is an escape for us as well as a delight and a practical way to keep our nests comfortable for those around us.
