When the circus heads to town, the 24-hour man checks the town out ahead of the crazy menageries arrival. When your life is busy, full of fun, filled with too much adventure or hectic and crazy, then plan ahead. Not only are there plenty of apps for smart phones which can help out, old-fashioned Polaroids work just as well.
First, know what's in your closet. Get anything which needs hemming, buttons, zippers, or patching out of your closet. Remove anything which doesn't fit or has spots. Now you know what you really have on hand. You can also see the holes in your wardrobe which makes things easier when you get five minutes to power shop.
Next, build outfits. Take the time to actually plan out some outfits for different occasions. Plan them head to toe. From undergarments to jewelry get the whole outfit on and know what it looks like. This will help you be prepared when you have to grab your clothes and go. Feel free to log or take a picture of your planned outfits to help you remember what pieces go together.
Last, set aside a section in your closet for planned outfits for mornings which have just run rampant with your schedule. Have them ready to go at all times so you are not stressed when you realize you have three seconds to be out the door.
